Week Review

It has been an eventful week at our place...which included a lot of rain, little naps, bike riding, a call to 911, and we even got in some swimming.

Usually this time of the week I am thinking about what the past week has brought on, how well Mia did at the t-ball and soccer games, and thinking about what I need to do for this week, but due to the buckets of rain we got all games were canceled...it was very sad.

However she has finally managed to figure out how to ride a bike with out any help...which makes us both very happy and sad. We are so proud of her and just beam and smile as we watch her go around and around the Church parking lot, but then we realize that our baby has grown up...and nothing we do will stop it.

Mia was also very excited when Josh was chosen to be a chaperon to the Kindergarten field trip to the Zoo. He and Mia got up early grabbed their sack lunches and took off to the school to catch the bus...they were in the Orange Lion group. Mia was sad because she wanted to be a pink monkey, but I think Josh was relieved. The got to the school got on the bus and off they went. Once they got to the Zoo Josh was told. Have fun and you need to meet here at 12:30 for the Zoofari. So there was poor Josh and 4 Kindergartners, at the zoo and for the next four hours he had to entertain them. He is such a good guy, and they had a wonderful day. Josh didn't get to go on the zoofari because he was late getting his group there and they didn't have enough tickets for all of the adults but Mia was excited because she got to pet a turtle.

McKinlee keeps us really busy, the other night she got a hold of Josh's phone around midnight and made a phone call and hung up...we were worried that she had called somebody and possibly woken them up...and a few minuets later our phone began to ring. We felt so bad, so Josh answered ready to apologize and here is how it went...
Josh: Hello
Person on the other end: This is 911, is everything ok? We just got a call and are checking in.
Josh: Yes we are fine, I am so sorry my 14th month old got a hold of my phone.
911 Operator: Lol ok, glad everything is ok.
What do we do with her? lol She must get it from here dad ;)

On Saturday we spend the day cleaning and finally took a break to have a bbq and swim with our friends the Turley's. In all it was a great week

Time for fun

It has been a very busy start to spring, with end of the school year activities, T-ball, dance, and Soccer, and that is just Mia, we have been running around like crazy, but loving every minute of it.
Mia is learning to ride a bike on two wheels, and Josh is getting a ton of cardio helping her. She is also the best defensive player on her soccer team, that is when she isn't spinning around on the field. She has also started t-ball, she insisted on a pink helmet, bat, and ball, to match her black with pink accent cleats. You can put the girly girl in sports, but you can't take the girly out...lol

McKinlee is walking all over the place, she has also started to give kisses, knows exactly what she wants...if we are singing a song and change the words she get mad until we start singing it the way she wants. She also has learned the joy of a bath, and climbs in clothes and all as soon as she hears the water running. She has also learned how to turn the tv on and off, her favorite thing is to wait until the worst moment and turn it off. She mostly loves to make us laugh and will do something she thinks is funny until we all look and start laughing at her, she is such a character.
