In the few minutes it takes for Josh to load the dishwasher and me to make a shopping list McKinlee made herself pretty. She put mascara on her face, on her tummy, my carpet, my computer chair, and my coffee table. She has also taken to coloring on my walls, my toilet, and my bathtub with ink. Another of her favorite past times is to drink the milk out of my cereal while I eat it. She is so helpful and artistic, and even though it can be frustrating I smile laugh and remind myself of what a blessing she is.

Open House
On September 7th we attended the Open House for Mia's Elementary School. I was anxious to meet Mia's teacher who as Mia put it is much younger than me... and happy to see that she is a little older than me but keeping in mind that both Mia's Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers have retired she must seem very young. She is desk partners with Jackson, which they are both excited about.

Plethora of Company
It is not very often that we have anybody come to Pittsburgh to visit us; my parents try to come out once a year or arrange for me and the girls to come their way, but that is about it...you can imagine our excitement as we have spent the first half of September inundated with family. For Mia's Baptism My parents, My little brother and his son Zach, and Josh's parents came out...this past weekend my Uncle Bill stopped by on his way to Washington DC. The girls have soaked up every minute of attention, and are feeling a wee bit deprived now...

Poor Baby
Following a fabulous weekend (more to come about that later) I had a rather boring and average week. That was until Thursday. I woke up and got Mia off to school, managed to find a few minutes to exercise and still had a few moments to cuddle with McKinlee and Wynter before the woke up. McKinlee wanted soup for breakfast, and being happy that she didn't just want Chocolate milk like usual I happily obliged. I pulled the left over soup out of the fridge, heated it up in the microwave, pulled it out, and watched as the splashed out of the bowl and land right on McKinlee burning her poor little face.
I have spent the rest of the week enduring my punishment from McKinlee, I can't go into my kitchen with out her saying..."Mom, don't burn me again" if I say something is hot she runs to the other side of the apartment in fear. I am just glad it is superficial and won't scar.

That make you smile feeling
Tonight my Baby Girl was Baptized. My heart is swelling with Pride and breaking all at once. I watched with a towel in hand as Josh dunked her under the water and pulled her up, she was all smiles. When she climbed back up the stairs and into my arms we hugged for a while, both happy. Than she quietly sat with he arms folded and eyes closed and received the Holy Ghost. I peeked and saw such a bright and peaceful look on her little face. Mia is such a sweet and beautiful girl. I think it would be pretty hard to find anybody in the North East who is more proud than me tonight.

6 Months
I know this is a few days late, but better late then never...right? It is hard to believe that our little Wynter-Elizabeth is 6 months old!!! She is sitting, crawling, chewing, teething, and trying her hardest to stand! She is such a delight and joy to our family.
Happy Birthday Mia
Happy Birthday to my Sweet little Angel Girl. It is amazing how quickly EIGHT years can fly by.
Reasons we love Mia:
She is always so Stylish
She is happy to help
She lets Mommy Dress her up
She always wears bunny ears while she decorates Easter Eggs
She always dances, she even twirls down the aisles at the Grocery store
No matter what she eats she always has food in the corner of her mouth
She made us buy a Pink bat and helmet for t-ball
She Loves her little Sisters
She is Kind to everyone
She can light up a room with her Smile

Blessings
Last Sunday Josh sat Mia down to give her her annual back to school blessing, after he finished, McKinlee climbed onto the chair and asked if he would give her one too. Josh happily obliged. When he finished the blessing, McKinlee, feeling bad that Josh was left out, asked Josh to sit down. She went behind him and reached as high as she could but couldn't reach, so she came around to the front and climbed on to the coffee table. Such a sweet and thoughtful little girl she is.

Forgiveness
Since school started, McKinlee has been going through some serious "Mia Withdrawl." All day long I hear "Where did Mia go? Mom, Where did she go?" But when Mia gets home, McKinlee is mad, she refuses to give her a hug and hides from her. Today, she decided it was finally time to forgive Mia
